Some of the other design ideas are shown below. A single red column orphrey is one possibility (pictured below centre ), or beige background with just the design on the front, (pictured below right). The red was to match the columns on the altar frontal. Black could not be substituted for the column or 'Y' orphrey as the designs would not show up. You will also notice that there are two versions of the nails with the crown of thorns (pictured below left and right).
My own preference would be to place the crown of thorns and nails as used on my set, but on the front of the chasuble, with crown of thorns and lashes on the back.
For my own church, I then made a Burse and Veil to complete the Lenten Array set. These are shown below. I modified the shape of the nails as the later shape seemed more suitable.
